Scorpions are coming to San Antonio, and they will rock you like a hurricane! Supporting their ballads compilation, Born to Touch Your Feelings, the band will play fan favorites, including "Wind of Change," "Still Loving You," "Rock You Like A Hurricane," "Send Me An Angel," and many more. They will be joined by special guest, Queensryche.
After canceling four shows last year, Scorpions are bringing their Crazy World tour back to the United States. They’ve announced five dates for this summer, with heavy metal band Queensryche serving as the opening act.
Scorpions had previously scheduled and then cancelled a tour date in San Antonio. In an October press release, the German metal band said vocalist Klaus Meine had developed severe laryngitis and had been advised by a top throat specialist in Los Angeles to rest his voice. The band reached out to the media, saying “[we] truly hate to disappoint our fans and hope to come back to America soon, but this time we have no choice [to] cancel,” as continuing the tour could inflict permanent vocal damage to Meine's throat.
Now, the band is coming back with Queensryche in tow. The metal opener received worldwide acclaim after the release of their 1988 album Operation: Mindcrime, which is often considered one of the greatest heavy metal concept albums of all time. The band has received three Grammy Award nominations and one individual nomination for drummer Scott Rockenfield.
Both bands will be playing the Freeman Coliseum on Friday, September 7th. Tickets are available for purchase online.
