Be sure to see the incredible new exhibit at the Ruiz-Healy Art Gallery! This month, Ruiz-Healy Art presents “Tell Me Where It Hurts,” a new exhibition showcasing the work of San Antonio artist Richard Armendariz. The show presents the latest creations of Armendariz, showcasing the artist’s signature carved paintings and large-scale woodblock prints.
Much like the markings of a tattoo artist, Richard Armendariz’s carved paintings symbolize both pain and beauty. With surgical precision, Armendariz applies an adapted power tool onto his brilliantly painted wooden panels, bringing to light a rich landscape of mythological creatures, figures, and text by way of crosshatched incisions. This new exhibit showcases the many layers of his work, and is worth a visit to the gallery to see it all in person!
At Oxford at Estonia Apartments in San Antonio, Texas, we believe it’s important to integrate yourself into the community, which is why we suggest attending this event. Meeting new people, having unfamiliar experiences, and joining neighborhood activities is the key to an exceptional lifestyle.
