Now in its 22nd season, The Magik Theatre is San Antonio's premier professional family theatre, producing live stage versions of children's classic and contemporary literature. Since the curtain first came up in 1994, The Magik Theatre has served over 1.5 million people, including children from more than 700 schools and groups in over 40 school districts throughout South and Central Texas. Each year, more than 25,000 people watch books come to life on stage free of charge. In our effort to ensure that every show can be easily integrated into classroom activities, all of The Magik Theatre's productions are accompanied by a comprehensive study guide, packed with standards-based activities, extending every child’s theatre experience as well as broadening his or her understanding and appreciation of a story.
